Bonsai Robotics, a company specialising in vision-based autonomy software for agriculture, has acquired farm-ng, a developer of modular electric robotic platforms for farm management.
The acquisition unites two agtech comapnies with a shared focus on using artificial intelligence to address challenges in agricultural labour, costs, and efficiency.
By integrating Bonsai’s autonomous AI technology with farm-ng’s customisable robotic systems, the combined business aims to deliver a new generation of AI-first machines designed to transform how crops are managed.
These systems are intended to support mixed-fleet operations, offering growers flexible, cost-effective solutions across a wide range of crops, environments, and farming tasks.
The companies have previously collaborated across multiple agricultural settings including vineyards, orchards, and bedded crops.
The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Existing shareholders from both companies will retain stakes in the merged organisation, which will continue under the Bonsai Robotics name.
Achievements and innovations in retail and e-commerce, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, automotive, transport & logistics, and more will be celebrated at the Robotics & Automation Awards on 29 October 2025 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
