Renowned British stand-up comedian, writer and actress Jo Caulfield has been announced as the special guest host of this year’s Robotics & Automation Awards.
A TV and radio regular, Caulfield has appeared on the likes of Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, as well as Just a Minute on BBC Radio 4 and Breaking The News on BBC Radio Scotland.
Described by The Observer as “one of the finest female comics at work” and by The Scotsman as “quite simply, a damn funny woman” Caulfield can regularly be seen headlining the UK’s biggest and best comedy clubs.
At Robotics & Automation Awards 2024, Caufield will draw upon her cutting wit to announce the winners during a special ceremony to be held at the stunning De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in central London on 06 November.
Sanding on Great Queen Street, which connects Covent Garden with Holborn in the West End of London, the Grade II listed building has a history dating back to 1775 and was once home to the original Freemasons’ Tavern before becoming a hotel in 1909.
Since then, the venue has hosted some of the world‘s leading politicians, royalty and celebrities with its grand Georgian architecture, original features and art-deco interiors. It was also featured in a season of BBC One’s The Apprentice.
Sponsored by Troax and BPX, the Robotics & Automation Awards 2024 ceremony will be attended by 200 professionals from across the robotics and automation value chains, including those working for OEMs, systems integrators, vendors and suppliers, as well as their customers and prominent academics working across related fields.
Guests will be greeted with a drinks reception held in the Balmoral Suite ahead of the winners being announced within the impressive surrounds of the Grand Hall, which features arched ornate ceilings, beautiful wood-panelling and dramatic chandeliers.
Public announcement of the winners follows a thorough and exacting shortlisting and judging process, which saw more than 40 C-suite industry experts and leading academics evaluate 100 written entries and Zoom-based presentations from more than 150 organisations across 23 categories.
Tables of 10 and individual tickets can be purchased here. Every seat booked grants each guest access to the pre-ceremony drinks reception, three-course dinner, trophy-giving presentation and invaluable networking opportunities.
