Canadian medical robotics firm Cobionix has raised US$3m in a funding round led by TitletownTech, a US-based venture capital fund backed by Microsoft and the Green Bay Packers.
The round also saw participation from Lions Investment and Dr Paul McBeth, a leading figure in the field of medical robotics.

The funding will support the commercial rollout of CODI, Cobionix’s multi-functional robotic platform, which leverages automation and artificial intelligence to assist with a range of clinical procedures.
The platform is designed to enhance healthcare delivery by performing patient-facing tasks such as diagnostic ultrasound exams with minimal human intervention.
The system can be reconfigured for a variety of clinical uses through interchangeable tools and remote software updates, enabling faster deployment across medical settings.
The funds will also be used to scale Cobionix’s pilot programmes, currently underway in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. These include collaborations with the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the UK’s National Health Service (NHS).
Cobionix plans to use the investment to transition CODI from research to clinical practice, with an initial focus on entering the US market.
The company’s technology aims to support healthcare systems strained by labour shortages and increasing patient demand, offering a potential solution through robotic assistance at the bedside.
Innovative applications of cobots, manufacturing, AI in retail and e-commerce, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, automotive, transport & logistics, and more will be celebrated at the Robotics & Automation Awards on 29 October 2025 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
