DHL Supply Chain has been appointed by Revolution Beauty to scale up its existing robotics and automated solutions to manage e-commerce fulfilment of UK and international orders for the fast-growing beauty brand in a five-year contract starting in September.
DHL will deploy a solution that uses pick-assisted robotics technology from 6 Rivers Systems to support Revolution Beauty’s global growth, improve consumer lead times and streamline packaging and void fill requirements.
Jon Yates, global operations director, Revolution Beauty, said: “We are extremely excited to be partnering with DHL Supply Chain for our e-commerce fulfilment. The automated solution, along with the DHL team themselves, were key factors in our decision making for our next e-commerce fulfilment contract, as we continue to strive to exceed our customers’ expectations”.”
Revolution Beauty recently reported a significant uplift in full-year sales and profits. It recorded a 42% increase in revenue year-on-year to £194m, driven by record sales in its fourth quarter. Total earnings are also up 73% from last year, at £22m.
Tia Wallace, e-commerce development director, DHL Supply Chain UK&I, said: “Revolution Beauty is an exciting beauty brand in the UK, with an impressive track record of growth over the past few years. We’re excited to be joining forces to support the company’s next phase of its global growth strategy and help achieve its long-term goals.”
