Jade Leung, Chief Technology Officer of the AI Security Institute, has been appointed as the Prime Minister’s new adviser on artificial intelligence.
In her role, Leung will focus on positioning the United Kingdom as a global leader in harnessing the benefits of transformative AI technology, while preparing for its potential impacts.
She will work closely with the Prime Minister to support the government’s Plan for Change, which aims to foster economic growth and establish strong foundations through innovation.
Leung will report directly to both the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology. She will divide her time between Number 10 Downing Street and the AI Security Institute.
