Shine-Link International Logistics (SLC) has deployed a compact automated storage and retrieval system at its Shanghai warehouse to support the storage and fulfilment requirements of a global manufacturer of medical devices, disinfection products and hygiene supplies.
Installed within a space-constrained area of the site, the AirRob system from Libiao Robotics comprises three robots that move vertically and horizontally along existing warehouse racking to retrieve goods.
These are transferred by nine autonomous mobile robots to one of seven operator workstations for order processing and dispatch.
The solution is designed to operate in narrow aisles and integrate with existing infrastructure, offering storage density improvements and lower energy consumption. Each robot uses approximately 150W per hour.
Founded in 2001, SLC provides supply chain services to sectors including precision electronics, chemicals and industrial components.
The company focuses on digitalised logistics, including traceable product handling and automated warehouse operations.
Ding Ling, general manager of the IT business unit at SLC, said: “After comparing several solutions on the market, we selected this system due to its development origins, projected return on investment and anticipated energy savings.”
The installation is the first of its type for SLC in the medical supplies sector.
Technologies such as this will be on display at IntraLogisteX Asia Pacific, taking place at Singapore EXPO on 1-2 October 2025. The event will feature more than 150 exhibitors, 4,000 visitors and 30 expert speakers, offering practical insight into the latest warehousing, robotics and supply chain technologies.
