Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, a global logistics service provider, in partnership with Dubai CommerCity (DCC), has announced the deployment of robotics-based automated storage systems at its e-commerce fulfilment centre in the free zone.
Dubai CommerCity, the region’s first free zone dedicated exclusively to digital commerce, is a joint venture between the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) and Wasl Properties.

The initiative forms part of a broader strategy to enhance digital infrastructure and logistics capabilities in the region.
The new system, introduced by Hellmann, is designed to increase storage capacity, streamline warehouse operations, and accelerate product delivery to market.
It is part of the company’s User Acceptance Testing (UAT) programme, which incorporates advanced robotics and blockchain management technologies.
Hellmann said the solution aims to offer businesses in various sectors greater flexibility, reliability, and efficiency in automating logistics processes.
The use of smart technologies is expected to support companies in improving productivity, expanding their operations, and scaling their businesses.
The partnership reflects growing investment in digital transformation across the logistics industry in the Middle East, as companies seek to optimise supply chains and meet rising consumer demand in the e-commerce sector.
