Brightpick, a provider of AI-powered robotic automation solutions for warehouses, has entered into a partnership with Thistle Systems, one of the United Kingdom’s leading integrators of automated storage solutions.
The collaboration is set to broaden access to Brightpick’s end-to-end robotic fulfilment technology across the UK.
By combining Brightpick’s robotic technology with Thistle Systems’ experience in systems integration, the partnership aims to streamline operations, reduce storage footprints, and enhance picking accuracy.
As part of the agreement, Thistle Systems will offer its customers the full suite of Brightpick’s products. This includes the Autopicker, a mobile robotic manipulator that automates a variety of fulfilment tasks including order picking, buffering, consolidation, dispatch and stock replenishment. Also available is the Retriever, a mobile robot designed to support Goods-to-Person picking operations.
Another technology, the Giraffe, is an extendable mobile robot capable of reaching up to six metres in height, enabling high-density vertical storage. It works in coordination with both the Autopicker and Retriever to retrieve totes from upper storage levels.
Additionally, the Brightbox system, Brightpick’s complete robotic fulfilment solution for brownfield mezzanine environments, combines its robotics with modular racking and software to enable rapid deployment with minimal infrastructure changes.
Both companies view the partnership as a strategic step towards enabling more UK warehouses to adopt advanced automation technologies with reduced implementation time and cost.
Achievements and innovations in warehouse automation across retail and e-commerce, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, automotive, transport and logistics, and more will be celebrated at the third annual Robotics & Automation Awards on 29 October 2025 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
