Under a five-year operations and maintenance contract, Beep will manage a fleet of 14 customised electric Ford E-Transit vehicles integrated with Oxa’s automated driving system.
The vehicles will run along a 3.5-mile route through Downtown Jacksonville, serving 12 stops along the Bay Street Innovation Corridor.
Beep’s technology supports vehicle deployment and command centre operations from JTA’s Autonomous Innovation Center.
The NAVI service is part of the JTA’s Ultimate Urban Circulator programme aimed at improving multi-modal transit and urban connectivity.
The recent funding round, co-led by Intel Capital and Blue Lagoon Capital, raised US$52.7m, bringing Beep’s total capital to US$97.7m.
This will be used to expand Beep’s operations into new markets.
To date, Beep has deployed 38 autonomous shuttle services across nine US states, offering vehicle-agnostic autonomous transit solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and accessibility in both urban and rural settings.
Innovative applications of technology in retail and e-commerce, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, automotive, transport & logistics, and more will be celebrated at the Robotics & Automation Awards on 29 October 2025 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
