Company Shop Group (CSG), a UK redistributor and retailer of surplus products, has chosen Dexory, a provider of AI-powered warehouse automation, in a move to enhance inventory accuracy, reduce waste, and streamline operations at its ambient warehouse in Barnsley.
The partnership involves the deployment of Dexory’s autonomous robotic technology and real-time data platform, which is already yielding significant operational improvements.
During the initial trial phase, more than 380 pallets were recovered and integrated into the warehouse management system (WMS), highlighting a substantial gain in stock visibility.
CSG, which handles surplus goods across sectors including food, homeware, personal care, and pet supplies, faces constant pressure to process stock quickly and accurately.
Previously, stock inaccuracies had occasionally contributed to delays in order picking and dispatch. The introduction of Dexory’s solution has enabled the company to monitor inventory with improved efficiency.
The technology has also freed up time for CSG’s stock control team, allowing them to redirect efforts towards broader efficiency projects. The partnership, according to the group, has been instrumental in its long-term mission to prevent surplus products from going to waste.
Oana Jinga, chief commercial and product officer and co-founder of Dexory, said: “By combining our AI-powered robotics and real-time data platform, we’re enabling their team to spot issues sooner, react faster, and ultimately deliver a more effective and efficient end-to-end process – turning warehouse visibility into tangible operational and environmental impact.”
