In “Industry 4.0” plants, the strategic use of artificial intelligence, edge computing and embedded vision ensures greater flexibility and productivity. Automated systems reliably perform tasks without loss of concentration, which leads to accelerated work processes and minimised sources of error. Especially 3D vision solutions such as Ensenso play an important role in industrial automation. Learn more about the latest developments by IDS.
The 3D camera system Ensenso N is especially designed for robotics and automated series production. The polyamide housing of the new N40 and N45 models is IP65/67-rated and particularly light. This opens up new application possibilities, e.g. in collaborative robotics.
The new models each include two monochrome CMOS sensors (global shutter, 1280 x 1024 pixels) and are equipped with screwable GPIO connectors for trigger and flash. Power-over-Ethernet allows data transfer and power supply to be realised even over long cable distances. The Ensenso selector on the IDS website helps to choose the right model.High-resolution 3D data directly from the camera
If large volumes or multiple object views are to be inspected with 3D cameras, high-resolution data must be generated and processed quickly. Camera systems with powerful sensors provide ideal output data, but interfaces and CPU can quickly become bottlenecks.
This is where 3D cameras like Ensenso XR with integrated data processing come into play. They are able to transfer results instead of raw data, which accelerates data processing and reduces the load on network and host PC. This benefits computing-intensive applications. The Ensenso XR30 and XR36 models feature IP65/67 protection and 1.6 MP Sony sensors.
High-performance, easy-to-use USB and GigE industrial cameras
In addition to the powerful Ensenso 3D cameras, IDS also offers a wide variety of 2D cameras. Whether users choose the uEye FA (IP65/67 protection), uEye CP (only 29x29x29 mm), uEye SE (extremely versatile) or uEye LE series (cost-effective project camera), whether they need models with autofocus or prefer individually configurable board-level cameras – the IDS camera portfolio leaves nothing to be desired.
Since its foundation in 1997, IDS Imaging Development Systems has developed into a leading manufacturer of digital industrial cameras. Whether in an industrial or non-industrial setting, these cameras assist companies worldwide in optimising their processes, ensuring quality, driving research, conserving raw materials, and serving people.
