Guozi Robotics, a leading Chinese provider of smart manufacturing and intelligent logistics solutions, has successfully implemented a fully automated production and logistics system at TZ Group’s newly built greenfield factory.
Nearly 200 robots of various types are now operational on-site, automating the entire excavator production line from initial assembly through to outbound shipment.
The system is designed to address key challenges in high-mix, low-volume production by enhancing flexibility and eliminating re-tooling delays.

Guozi has deployed a collaborative multi-robot ecosystem that includes mobile robot swarms performing precise material transfers through dynamic path planning.
A matrix of gantry robots, collaborative robots (cobots), turnover units, as well as other custom-designed devices manage complex tasks without manual intervention. To ensure uninterrupted operation, the system relies on contact-free power rails that support 24/7 uptime.
The project is powered by Guozi’s proprietary Line-Side Control System (LCS) and manufacturing execution system (MES), which enable data integration between shop-floor devices and overall plant management.
The logistics infrastructure has also been comprehensively redesigned. Materials are categorised by size, large, medium, small, and standard, and handled by a variety of autonomous mobile robots, including ANTS lifting AGVs, multi-layer picking robots, and heavy-duty carriers.
These systems interface automatically with storage units such as racks, pallets, and bins.
At the core of the logistics network is Guozi’s AI-driven Robot Control System (RCS), which manages hundreds of autonomous guided vehicles with centimetre-level precision.
The RCS supports various call-for-parts modes and integrates dynamic storage with smart picking capabilities, providing full visibility and traceability from the warehouse to each workstation.
Innovative applications of technology in retail and e-commerce, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, automotive, transport & logistics, and more will be celebrated at the Robotics & Automation Awards on 29 October 2025 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
