Swisslog, a provider of warehouse automation and software solutions, has announced the launch of its new IntraMove series of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), designed to provide horizontal transport for payloads of up to 3,000kg.
The IntraMove AMRs utilise artificial intelligence (AI) and Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM) navigation technology to operate autonomously in complex environments.
Equipped with dual laser scanners, the robots navigate without the need for physical guides such as cables or magnetic strips, dynamically adjusting to obstacles and traffic in real time.
Designed for fast deployment and easy route reconfiguration, the IntraMove robots are suitable for both standalone use and integration into larger warehouse systems.
They connect via the VDA 5050 communication interface to Swisslog’s AI-driven fleet management software, which optimises routing and task distribution.
The AMRs come in three payload capacities: IntraMove AMR 600, for loads up to 600kg; IntraMove AMR 1500, for loads up to 1,500kg; and IntraMove AMR 3000, heavy-duty for payloads up to 3,000kg
The company says the IntraMove series aims to meet growing demand for intelligent, autonomous transport systems capable of supporting operational growth while maintaining safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
