HL Robotics, a subsidiary of HL Holdings, signed an agreement last month to acquire valet parking robotics company Stanley Robotics, with the acquisition set to be finalised before the end of this year.Â
Through this acquisition, HL Robotics plans to spearhead the advancement of global autonomous parking robot technology, which will position it as a new growth engine for the wider HL Group.
The autonomous robot company’s flagship product ‘Stan’ is an autonomous valet parking robot that is able to navigate parking lots without time or space constraints.
It uses a fleet management system (FMS) that utilises digital twin technology to monitor the robot and provides real-time remote control from one central location.

After successfully commercialising parking robots in Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport in France in 2018, Stanley Robotics signed a parking robot subscription agreement with a Canadian finished vehicle logistics supply chain company, which saw it launch a robotic automotive logistics compound management service in September this year.
This was the first North American commercial model featuring a comprehensive package including maintenance services.
Additionally, more orders are expected, with concentrated spots for vehicles, including railroad logistics companies and airports across North America and Europe as potential customers.
The market for autonomous parking robots is growing, and experts predict that the value, which has been growing at double-digit rates annually, will reach US$6.7 billion (£5.14 billion) by 2030.
This growth is driven by space shortages, population growth, and increasing urban density in major cities worldwide – factors that HL Group seeks to capitalise on to invest further in the autonomous parking robot industry.
Innovations and achievements in AI and robotics will be highlighted and celebrated at the second annual Robotics & Automation Awards on 06 November 2024 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
