Geek+, a developer of autonomous mobile robot (AMR) technology has partnered with Melbourne-based Conveyor Logistics, a systems integrator for materials handling applications, order fulfilment, packaging automation and conveyor solutions.
The two have partnered to offer customers a complete automation solution that combines Conveyor Logistics’ conveyor systems with Geek+’s AMRs.
Together, the companies are looking to provide a seamless automation solution that utilises shared expertise in manufacturing and robotics.
Rohan Vocale, managing director, Conveyor Logistics, said: “As a manufacturer and integrator of conveyor systems, we recognised the importance of staying abreast of emerging trends in warehouse automation.
“Our attention was drawn to the increasing use of autonomous mobile robots within the industry, prompting us to seek out a partnership with the leading AMR provider, Geek+.
“While AMRs may supplant conveyors in certain applications, their integration with conveyors can be mutually beneficial. As we continue to expand our operations with a concentration on warehouse automation, our collaboration with Geek+ solidifies our position as a pioneer in this field.”
Lit Fung, VP and managing director, overseas business at Geek+, said: “We are thrilled to have formed a partnership with Conveyor Logistics.
“With their impressive track record of intralogistics systems integrator spanning over three decades, we have great confidence in their ability to leverage Geek+ technology to develop innovative and efficient supply-chain solutions in Australia.”
By partnering with Geek+, Conveyor Logistics has claimed it is now even better equipped to supply automation solutions for customers in need of a complete and reliable system.
